As a photographer, I have the privilege of meeting incredible people from all walks of life. It fills me with inspiration, fuels my passion, and gives deeper meaning to my work. I love capturing the diversity of this world—the unique expressions of love, different cultures, and heartfelt moments that make every wedding special.
This time, I had the honor of photographing a same-sex wedding in Belfast at the beautiful Belfast City Hall. Vanessa and Wendy trusted me to document their love story, and I couldn’t have been more grateful to be part of their special day.
The couple originally comes from Peru, a country I’ve always dreamed of visiting. I hope one day I’ll get to see the legendary Machu Picchu, experience Peruvian culture firsthand, and try their famous ceviche!
This was my first experience photographing a same-sex wedding, and while I was initially a bit nervous, Vanessa and Wendy made the entire experience so effortless. They were relaxed, full of joy, and truly embraced the moment, making my job incredibly easy. Their love was so genuine, and I aimed to capture every candid moment of laughter, happy tears, and pure connection.
When photographing LGBTQ+ weddings in Northern Ireland, I believe it's essential to highlight each couple's unique love story in a way that feels natural and true to them. My approach is always to create a relaxed atmosphere where couples feel comfortable being themselves.
I also love shooting at Belfast City Hall, one of the most popular same-sex wedding venues in Northern Ireland. It’s the perfect setting for couples who want an intimate Belfast wedding—a meaningful celebration without the stress of a large-scale event.
Being part of Vanessa and Wendy’s wedding reaffirmed why I love what I do. Every wedding is a reminder that love, in all its forms, is something to be celebrated.
